As our loneliness started spreading

Dismantled by hours of light

Walls were thin but they’re getting thiner

Noise was loud but we slept much better

We wanted to try to move up there higher

We wanted to dry hanging out in fire

Wonder who else might care what my lips can suggest

Clowns around the corner catching everything move I make

Ruining silence with their choirs of screams

Why should I care for them ?

Why would I believe that there’s still someone in this skin ?

Someone here listening to me.

For a while we thought we’d be learning

From their endless series of lies

Expecting them all to be caring

Long enough to keep us alive

Trees were small but they’re getting taller

Gold at night is shining much brighter
